Reverse Osmosis System
Reverse osmosis is a technology that takes advantage of the ability of certain semi-permeable membranes to separate dissolved substances from water.
The pressure of the water supply forces the water through the membrane; the pure water (filtered) is so separated from the water containing dissolved salts (concentrate).
The highest-performing osmotic membranes (those made of polyamide and polysulphone) act as a barrier not only against salts and other inorganic substances, but also against organic substances with molecular weight higher than 100; therefore they are constitute an excellent defence against micro pollutants, pesticides, pyrogenic materials, viruses and bacteria that may be contained in water.

HQ+
The systems characterized by the acronym HQ + (High Quality Plus) represent the latest generation of osmotic system that synthesize all the technological innovations of recent years.
They use membranes with a high salt retention rate, in fact they are able to retain up to 99% of dissolved salts. These values, until recently, were achieved only by the best industrial membranes with very high costs and with operating pressures of 10 - 15 bar.
Furthermore, the particular composition of the membrane structure allows more osmosis water to be drawn and waste to be reduced while maintaining a very high water quality. With normal membranes, 15% to 20% of the water entering the membrane can be withdrawn, while 80% - 85% is discarded. The HQ + membranes, on the other hand, allow to recover from 30% to 50% of the total water.
Aquili HQ + membrane
At 40 PSI (~ 2 Bar) 20-25% water recovery 99% salts retained
At 60 PSI (~ 4 Bar) 40-50% water recovery 98% salts retained
The minimum pressure for the membrane to develop its performance is 2,0 bar. Below the osmotic water is of excellent quality, but the production / waste is similar (but better) to that of a standard membrane. The maximum operating pressure is 4,0 bar. The one normally developed by a booster pump. Above this pressure it is necessary to change the calibration of the membrane to avoid malfunctions or collapses of the membrane itself.
Membrane tested at:
250 ppm = 390 microsiemens = 14 d ° KH of salts in solution.
25 ° of temperature
pH 6.5 - 7.0

Each area of Europe has its own water which differs in organoleptic characteristics from all other waters. To allow correct use of our systems in every country of Europe, we have set them with a safety ratio ranging from 1: 1.5 to 1: 2. This ratio, during use, automatically adjusts itself according to the inlet water pressure. (standard membranes work with the ratio 1: 4). In this way we have sacrificed the maximum production peak that can be reached (in fact, you can reach the 1: 1 ratio), but in every European country, as the pressure or hardness of the water varies, the system always has excellent performance. and does not subject the membrane to excessive stress that can cause it to collapse.

RO and OSMO
• The membranes have been tested at 25 °, 4.8 bar, 2000 ppm as TDS.
• Because of the different operating conditions, compared to the ideal conditions in which they were verified, the real production is about half of the theoretical one.
